Create realistic oil paintings using the traditional techniques of tonal realism, as practiced by Whistler, Meldrum, Ryder, Inness, and Zorn. No more happy accidents! Learning this historic oil painting approach will give you the knowledge necessary to systematically solve visual problems, mix colors with deliberation, and apply paint with confidence. Cultivate ways of seeing that sharpen artistic observation, deepen visual memory, and adapt the lessons of the Old Masters to your own work in an authentic way. Each session begins with instruction/live demonstration, followed by hands-on studio training in which students develop their own paintings from start to finish. B.I.A
