Urban sketching, the art of sketching on location, is both an outdoor AND indoor activity. So while we have some indoor classroom time, students will focus on learning urban sketching fundamentals and practicing essential techniques such as selecting a scene, linework, shading, coloring, perspective drawing on a number of different subjects, urban uglies, lettering, and the various art tools most commonly used. As weather permits, we will meet at offsite locations (TBD).
This is the perfect preparation for the warmer months of urban sketching outdoors. B.I.A.
